2025 Volunteer Trail Maintenance
Haines Huts and Trails volunteers completed over 200 hours of trail maintenance this summer. This included brushing the 7-Mile and Skyline Trails, digging new drainage on 7-mile and Battery Point, laying thousands of pounds of gravel on the Battery Point and Picture Point trails, and clearing downed trees on almost every trail. Thank you to Chilkat Valley Community Foundation and RurALCAP for funding our new tool library, giving our volunteers and staff access to new chainsaws, tri-blade brushers, pulaskis, mcleods, grubbers, loppers, shovels, and saws!!!
