We are on Lingít Aaní.

Haines Huts and Trails operates on the unceded land and traditional territories of Lingít peoples, who have been stewarding these places since time immemorial. We honor, recognize, and respect the Jilḵáat Ḵwáan and Lḵoot Ḵwáan (Chilkat and Chilkoot peoples) for their traditions, knowledges, and ways of being that have sustained this land for over 10,000 years.

Our Mission

We foster wilderness experiences in some of our region’s most inspiring locations by developing and maintaining public use backcountry cabins and trails. We strive to contribute to the Haines quality of life and economy by facilitating accessible outdoor access and promoting community health and well being.

Our Vision

Strategically located public use cabins and trails that connect people to place, encourage land stewardship, and promote sustainable community development.
