Battery Point Trail:

Enjoy a hike along the Lynn Canal with excellent birding and sealife spotting opportunities. Battery Point is one of the most accessible hikes from downtown Haines, and an amazing way to spend a few hours along the coast. 

Mount Ripinski via Skyline Trailhead:

For a full day adventure, make the trek up to Mount Ripinski and enjoy stunning views of the Lynn Canal, Chilkat River Delta, the Chilkat and Chilkoot Valleys, and the town of Haines. 

Mount Riley via Mud Bay Trailhead:

Explore the highest peak on the Haines Peninsula with 360° views of the area. Mount Riley is the perfect half-day hike for those who want everything from lush forests to spectacular ocean views. 

Ayiklutu Trail:

Venture out to the southern tip of the peninsula with the chance to see birds, wildlife, marine mammals, and the Davidson Glacier accross the Chilkat Inlet. 

3920 and Mount Ripinski via 7-Mile Trailhead:

The ultimate on-trail hike in the Haines area, you’ll bag the two highest peaks close to town as you traverse one of the most beautiful ridgelines in the world. On a clear day, no hike competes with this one.
