Summer Booking Info
We’ve had a hugely successful opening of the Tukga Hut so far this winter. As we enter our first summer booking period, please read up on all of our policies and schedules for summer bookings. Don’t let any of the beautiful photos and videos of the hut distract you from the reality that the trail is difficult and strenuous, with significant elevation gain and some technical sections.

Schedule:
As an organization, we try our best to balance the needs of our constituents and community with our organizational capacity and goals. This booking schedule is designed to accommodate the widest array of people possible and give us an opportunity to see what works and what does not throughout our first year of operation of the Tukga Hut.
Please review the calendar graphic below. The nights highlighted in red on the calendar below will be available to book by Ptarmigan and Wolverine members on February 13th at 6pm AKST and by non-members on March 6th. The nights highlighted in green will be available to book around the 1st day of the month (advanced notification for the release of these dates will be given via social media and email updates).
Membership: Ptarmigan and Wolverine members receive early booking access and discounts as a thank-you for their contribution to Haines Huts and Trails. To access early booking and discounts, please sign into your membership account on the Haines Huts and Trails website and scroll down to the booking link. Make sure the email to create an account didn’t go to your spam!
Haines residents will receive a 50% discount code for the hut if they sign up for a membership.
Pricing: Pricing for the Tukga Hut will remain the same as the winter: $25 per person with a $150 minimum per night. Example: 6 or fewer people: $150, 7 people: $175, etc…
Cancellations: Cancellations that take place 30 or more days out receive a full refund, cancellations 14-30 days out receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable.
Policies: From May 1st through July 15th, no dogs are permitted at the Tukga Hut. This DOES NOT mean bring your dog and leave it outside of the hut. This is the kidding period for local mountain goats when they are especially susceptible to disturbance.
